{ distracting SEPTEMBER }

and now October is over..... I don't know why I am so far behind, I hate trying to catch up.  So September was busy (I have to say that or I don't have a good reason for my lazy blogging right?)
School started, dance started, swim lessons continued, Sydney turned one and started walking, Jonathan turned 30 something, and its all a blur to me now!

Fall is definitely here.  We packed away our swim gear and traded it in for backpacks and boots!

Grace started FIRST grade.  She loves it and is gone ALL day long.  I miss the little lady, but it's so nice for her to be at school ALL day!

Addie goes to preschool three days a week and has some pretty fun teachers, she loves it.  Her teacher pulled me aside after one of the first days of school and said that Addie started rubbing her back while she was reading the class a book, and how sweet she is.

Johny had a birthday, I don't know how old we are anymore, all I know is we are still in our 30's.  We are pretty laid back when it comes to our own Birthdays so I decided to make his day a little special for him.  (And this had nothing to do with him him declaring it his Birthday weekend on Saturday after we had gone out Friday night to celebrate, or when he then declared on Monday (his actual b-day) that it was his Birthday week!)  So I scurried around on Monday to make some decorations, get his favorite salsa from his favorite restaurant,   got him a few gifts, made him a steak salad and corn on the cob for dinner, and made him a cake!

 Addison helped me make some wrapping paper to wrap this and this.  Oh and he is really into salted caramel and chocolate lately.

This cake is really good.  You can find the recipe here. Don't forget to make the chocolate fudge sauce and whipped cream, trust me.

and now just a few pictures of the smaller two while we hang out at home!

and that's September!
Hopefully October will be up before November is over :)
We have a ladybug, a flapper girl, and a kitty cat for Halloween.....  who's who???

Have you tried the Private Selection salted caramel ice cream at Fred Meyer? It might go really well with that cake! It's so yummy!
